Who are the Godmothers of cruise ships and what is their purpose?  Tim educates Bob about Godmothers, gives a brief history, and names a few of them from other cruise lines.  We then talk about the current Disney Cruise Line Godmothers and then put a question out to LooperNation.

What would you name one of the new Disney Cruise Line ships and who would you want to be the Godmother?!  Comment on our Facebook page!

‘DREAM’GIRL: Oscar-winning actress and Grammy Award-winning singer Jennifer Hudson poses Jan. 19, 2011 in front of a five-foot-tall bronze “Admiral Donald Duck” statue in the atrium of the new “Disney Dream” cruise ship. On Jan. 19, Hudson took center stage at the ship’s gala christening ceremony and was named godmother for the “Disney Dream” ship. It was a homecoming of sorts for Hudson. Before performing on “American Idol” and winning an Academy Award for “Dreamgirls,” Hudson’s own dreams of stardom began in 2003 as a performer on the “Disney Wonder” cruise ship. The new, 130,000-ton “Disney Dream” — Disney Cruise Line’s third ship — accommodates up to 4,000 guests and features themed areas for children, teens and adults, and interactive entertainment throughout the ship, and industry firsts including the first “water-coaster” at sea. The ship will launch on its maiden voyage Jan. 26, 2011 from Port Canaveral, Fla., and then will sail three-, four- and five-night cruises to the Bahamas and Disney’s private island.
